Reunion Giving

One of the most impactful ways to support Georgetown University is by making a gift in honor of your reunion year. Not only does your participation count towards your class giving totals, but your support is essential as we educate a diverse student body dedicated to the care of others and the health needs of our society.

  • Medical Alumni Giving: Race for the Cups

Medical alumni who make a gift to the School of Medicine during their reunion cycle will contribute towards their class giving totals and chances to win in the Race for the Cups. Your support is essential as we educate a diverse student body dedicated to the care of others and the health needs of our society.

Gifts made to the School of Medicine between July 1 of the year prior to reunion—and gifts made by December 31 of your reunion year—count towards the Race for the Cups competition.

Dean’s Cup: Awarded to the class with the greatest percentage of donors

Reunion Cup: Awarded to the class with the greatest number of classmates returning for
    Medical Reunion

Alumni Cup: Awarded to the class with the largest reunion giving total

Legacy Cup: Awarded to the class with the greatest percentage of alumni who have made a
    planned gift

Loyalty Cup: Awarded to the class with the greatest percentage of alumni who have given
each year since their last reunion

  • Dental Alumni Giving

Alumni celebrating their reunions from the School of Dentistry are encouraged to make a gift to the Dr. Pasquale “Pat” Tigani Memorial Scholarship Fund, established by the Dental Alumni Board in honor of its inaugural president, Pat Tigani, D.D.S. (C’55, D’57). This fund supports undergraduate students at Georgetown in financial need who are either descendants of dental alumni or who have expressed an interest in pursuing a career in healthcare. • Warwick Evans Society

Named for the first medical graduate of Georgetown University, the Warwick Evans Society is the School of Medicine’s premier annual giving society. This support is the lifeblood of the school and provides the Dean with critical scholarship dollars for the best and brightest medical students.

Membership in the Warwick Evans Society is extended to alumni, parents, and friends who make gifts to Georgetown School of Medicine totaling $1,000 or more each year.

  • Loyalty Society

Loyal donors are the cornerstone of Georgetown’s success, providing the means by which Georgetown can carry out its mission of educating people  in service to others. In recognition of this important commitment, the Loyalty Society honors alumni giving to Georgetown at various levels—from our Charter members, who are just beginning their lifelong commitment to annual giving, to our Lifetime supporters, who have given for 20 or more years. Learn about the benefits of being a Loyalty Society member.

For more information, please call GUMC Development at 202-236-3616.

  • Legacy Society

The Georgetown Legacy Society was established to recognize alumni and friends who have included a gift for Georgetown in their estate plans. These gifts take many forms including simple bequests by will, gift annuities and charitable trusts. Many of these plans offer substantial financial and tax saving benefits, often complementing an individual’s overall estate plans. All are greatly appreciated and help to ensure the tradition of excellence at Georgetown for future generations.
