Terri Carmichael Jackson (C'89, L'92)
Executive Director, Women’s National Basketball Players Association
Terri Carmichael Jackson (C’89, L’92) is the executive director of the Women’s National Basketball Players Association (WNBPA). She leads WNBPA board relations, the group licensing program, labor matters, specifically collective bargaining negotiations.
She is a member of the Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Program Advisory Board at the University of Miami Law School, and additionally teaches a short course and directs an internship/externship program. In celebration of the WNBPA’s 25th Anniversary, Carmichael Jackson was instrumental in—and served as executive producer for—the recent documentary Shattered Glass: A WNBPA Story, which can be viewed on Tubi.
In 2020, Carmichael Jackson was featured in "The Unrelenting,” a Sports Illustrated article on the most powerful women in sports. She is a 2022 Sports Business Journal Power Player.
Carmichael Jackson is also the proud mother of Jaren Jackson Jr., a member of the NBA Memphis Grizzlies, reigning Defensive Player of the Year (2022-23) and 2022 finalist for the NBA Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion Award; and winner of December 2021-22 NBA Cares Community Assist Award.
