Nick Ennis (F'04)
Vice President of Baseball Operations, San Diego Padres
Nick Ennis is celebrating his 15th season with the Padres. He began as vice president of baseball operations in March 2021, after serving as director of baseball operations for seven seasons. His primary responsibilities include assisting in player acquisitions, roster management, professional scouting, and contract negotiations. Ennis is also involved in the club’s analytics research initiatives, and the application of new technologies throughout the department.
Ennis interned for the Padres in 2010, was promoted to advance scout/baseball operations assistant in 2012, and was named manager of baseball operations after the 2013 season.
A 2004 graduate of Georgetown University, Ennis worked in the venture capital industry before receiving his MBA from Columbia Business School in 2010.
