Michael Slater, Ph.D., currently serves as director of graduate recruitment and admissions for the Department of Theology and Religious Studies at Georgetown. Slater specializes in philosophy of religion, American pragmatism, and religion and science. He maintains interests in ethics, philosophical theology, Chinese and comparative philosophy, and theories of religion. Slater completed his doctorate degree in the Department of Religious Studies at Brown University in 2005 before coming to Georgetown in 2009. Previously, Slater held visiting positions at Baylor University (2005-2006) and the University of Oregon (2006-2009).
