Joe Ruggiero is senior vice president of consumer products for the National Football League (NFL), where he leads the NFL’s consumer products business. Ruggiero leads a portfolio of licensing businesses that drive fan engagement and revenue for the NFL, including the licensing of physical and digital products such as apparel, merchandise, video games, and collectibles. In his role, he is responsible for the NFL’s strategy and execution in key areas such as ecommerce, video gaming, and emerging products (e.g., interactive experiences, NFTs and other blockchain-related products). His team manages partnerships with over 100 partners such as Fanatics, Nike, New Era, Adidas, and Electronic Arts.  

Ruggiero joined the NFL in 2012 and has served in a variety of leadership roles at the NFL.  Prior to his current position, he was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company.  He received his MBA from New York University and his bachelor’s in business administration from Georgetown University. He currently lives in New Jersey with his wife Lauren (B’02) and four children Samantha, Charlotte, Joey, and Audrey.
