Inky Son is vice president of licensing at the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA). She is responsible for leading the group licensing program for current NBA players. In her role, Son leads the negotiation and management of partners across emerging tech, video-gaming, trading cards, apparel, and hardlines products. 

Prior to joining the NBPA, Son worked for the Major League Baseball Players Association, leading their licensed apparel strategy. 

Previously, Son spent 13 years in the fashion industry managing licensing and international development for known brands, including Calvin Klein and DKNY. She spent six years working in Europe running a start-up fashion brand, Twenty8Twelve. She received a bachelor’s in marketing from Georgetown University in 2002. 

Originally from South Korea, Son resides in Brooklyn with her partner Kyle and their rescue dog, Banjo.
