Aliyah Graves-Brown is the Assistant Director of Program Management for the Georgetown Pivot Program, a ten month business and entrepreneurship program for formerly incarcerated DC residents. Aliyah has been actively involved in program design and implementation since the program’s inception. In addition to providing administrative support for the Pivot team, Aliyah is also responsible for one-on-one coaching and development of Pivot Fellows. Aliyah also serves as the Program Coordinator for the Prisons and Justice Initiative (PJI) at Georgetown University, which brings together scholars, practitioners, and students to combat the problem of mass incarceration. As Program Coordinator, Aliyah administers the Prison Scholars Program at the DC Jail, which offers Georgetown University credit-bearing courses to currently incarcerated women and men.

Aliyah is a 2017 graduate from Georgetown University. During her senior year, Aliyah served as a Research Assistant for the Prisons and Justice Initiative, primarily responsible for event planning and launching “PJI Pals”, a mentoring program for children with incarcerated parents. Upon graduating, she worked for Oracle’s Public Sector Division as a Business Development Consultant, until she returned to the Hilltop and joined the PJI and Pivot teams in 2018.
