georgetown university reunion weekend: may 30-june 1, 2025

There is no place like home and there is no place like Georgetown… absence makes our Hoya hearts grow fonder!

Reunion Weekend 2025 is a wonderful chance to rediscover what made Georgetown “home” for you— and to renew your lifelong connection to this special place. We are thrilled to welcome back all members of the undergraduate Classes of 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, and 2020, as well as our Magis alumni (Class of 1974 and beyond). Come home to the Hilltop!

Alumni, friends, and family will gather on campus for three days of celebration, learning, and camaraderie. It’s a fantastic way to reconnect and see how your Georgetown has grown into the university it is today. Weekend events include Class Parties for milestone alumni, campus tours, activities for Hoyas of all ages, and a variety of fascinating panels with some of our most prominent alumni and beloved faculty.

Online registration for Reunion Weekend is now closed, but it’s not too late to join us! Walk-in registration will be available in Healy Hall on Friday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturday, May 31, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Excited for your reunion?

Let us know you’re coming home to Georgetown! Adding your name to the list will let your classmates know you’re saving the date.

Reunion Giving

Alumni can directly support their class reunion efforts by making a reunion gift. Every year, it’s a race to see which undergraduate classes will be recognized for their achievements.

  • Reunion Cup

Awarded to the reunion class with the greatest percentage of classmates returning for the weekend.

  • Blue & Gray Cup

Awarded to the reunion class with the largest reunion gift total.

  • President’s Cup

Awarded to the reunion class with the greatest percentage of donors.

  • Legacy Society Cup

Awarded to the reunion class with the greatest percentage of alumni in the Legacy Society. Those interested in becoming Legacy Society members can do so by making a planned gift. or To talk with a gift planning representative, please email giftplanning@georgetown.edu.

  • Loyalty Cup

Awarded to the reunion class with the largest percentage of classmates who are members of the Loyalty Society—and who have given continuously since their last reunion. To help their class, a special Buyback Program allows alumni to “buy back” participation in recent years they’ve missed. Alumni qualify as Loyalty Society Milestone Members after five years of consecutive giving—our way of saying thank you to our most steadfast supporters.

To learn more, visit the Loyalty Society website or call 800-424-2795.

FAQs

  • I haven’t yet registered for Reunion. Can I still attend and come back to celebrate?

Yes! You can always register in person over the weekend. On-site registration will be available in Healy Hall on Friday, May 30 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, May 31 from 9 a.m. until noon.

  • If I choose to attend an event as a walk-in over Reunion Weekend, can I pay with cash or check?

No. We only accept debit and credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, etc.) as payment methods.

  • I have already registered online, can I still add events to my Reunion Weekend itinerary?

If you want to register for additional events over the weekend, you may still attend events and pay at the door or at the on-site registration in Healy Hall. We recommend adding events to your schedule in Healy Hall, as that will alleviate wait times at individual events. Please note, some events are at full capacity and are no longer accepting new registrants.

  • If I am no longer able to attend Reunion, will I be able to get a refund?

The last day to receive a full refund on your reunion registration was Friday, May 16. If you have any questions please email us at advancementevents@georgetown.edu.

  • What is the Magis Society?

The Magis Society recognizes Georgetown University undergraduate alumni who have celebrated their 50th Reunion. Magis alumni are invited to attend Reunion Weekend every year, rather than milestone reunions (5th Reunion, 10th Reunion, etc.). During the weekend, Magis alumni are welcome to attend all general reunion programming and the Magis Society Reception and Dinner hosted on Saturday night of Reunion Weekend.

  • Who can come? Can I bring my family and friends?

You are welcome to bring guests to celebrate with you—including family, friends, and kids! Kid-friendly events will be denoted as “Kid-friendly” in the weekend schedule.

  • What should I wear?

Be sure to check the weather forecast, as spring in Washington, DC can be unpredictable. Daytime temperatures are typically between 75 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, while evening temperatures are between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Temperatures may also vary by room and venue, so for your own comfort, we recommend that you dress in layers. During the day, events and clothing are casual. Please consult the schedule of events for specific recommended class party attire.

  • How do I get around campus?

We highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes throughout the weekend. Golf carts and drivers will be available to transport anyone requiring transportation assistance. We also recommend using the official interactive map of campus, which is also available in the Reunion Weekend mobile app. Additionally, there are other wonderful resources available for campus navigation on Georgetown’s website, such as the ADA map of campus. If you have any specific accommodation needs, please email us at advancementevents@georgetown.edu or give us a call at 202-687-2064 and we will do our best to accommodate that request.

  • Is parking available?

The Southwest Quad Parking Garage will be available throughout Reunion Weekend.

  • I’m taking a taxi or rideshare service to or from campus. Where should I get dropped off/picked up?

Passenger vehicle traffic is very limited on campus. When taking a taxi or other ridesharing service to Georgetown University, the best destination is Healy Gates at 37th & O Street, NW.

  • Where can I purchase Georgetown memorabilia?

Purchase your Hoya gear in the Georgetown University Bookstore, located in the recently renovated Leavey Center.

  • Will I see Georgetown’s new Jack the Bulldog at reunion?

We are so excited for Jack to experience his second Reunion Weekend! Jack will be making appearances over Reunion Weekend, including Lunch on the Lawn and the All-Class Family Picnic. We encourage you to say hello and give him as many hugs and ear scratches as possible, but please refrain from giving him treats.

  • Where can I eat?

There are several eateries on campus in Leo O’Donovan Hall and the Leavey Center. The Tombs, Call Your Mother bagels, and 1789 are located just off campus.

  • What can I do if I’m feeling overstimulated and need a quiet space to rest?

Feel free to use the sensory room in the Healey Family Student Center Lower Level any time during opening hours to rest, pace, or recharge during Reunion Weekend. The sensory room is designed to meet students’ sensory access needs and includes interactive light technology, sensory tools, and comfy chairs. Open to all!

  • Is there an infant feeding room available for use?

White House Nannies: Our recommended childcare provider may be able to provide fully screened and agency-qualified caregivers for individual needs during the weekend. To book a caregiver through White House Nannies, call 301-655-8240 or submit a form on their website, and reference Georgetown Reunion Weekend.

Student Employment Office: The Student Employment Office serves as a clearinghouse for students available for babysitting positions, but it is not a direct matching service. To employ childcare services from Georgetown students, go to the student employment website, click on “Off-Campus Employers,” then click on “Post a Job” and complete the required information. We recommend that you post your request at least one week in advance. Please call 202-687-4187 for more information.

Hotel Referrals: Many hotels offer babysitting referrals. Please check the Accommodations section for a list of hotels and contact them directly about specific offerings.

Personal Referrals: You can also seek recommendations from classmates or organize babysitters for groups. Your class’s Facebook page can be a great resource for finding a childcare provider.

  • Who can I contact for more information?
