Bennie Smith (C’86) is co-author with Paul O’Neill (C’86, MPP ’96) of Georgetown University a collection of historical images and captions that tell the story of Georgetown’s first 200 years.

A member of the class of 1986, Smith was a history major in the College. As an alumnus, he has been an interviewer in the Alumni Admissions Program, supporter and mentor in the Georgetown Scholars Program, Class of ‘86 Ambassador, and early advocate of the Georgetown LGBTQ Resource Center. He now chairs the Students of Georgetown, Inc. (“the Corp”) Alumni Advisory Committee and is a member of the Georgetown Board of Governors.

Smith’s career has focused on risk management in various fields including insurance and advertising technology. He has written extensively on global data policy, privacy, and consumer data protection issues. Smith has also served on numerous non-profit boards.
