The entry fee includes: greens fees, driving range, golf carts, food following play, beverage cart during play, prizes, and round-trip bus transportation from Healy Circle. Come join us for a guided tour through several of Washington's historic neighborhoods, including D.C.'s Ward 7, Anacostia, and the Columbia Heights/U Street areas. As you travel through the area, you will learn more about the history of D.C. and Georgetown's historical involvement in bringing educational programs into D.C. public schools located in Ward 7. $

Reunion Classic: All-Class Golf Tournament
Buses depart from McDonough Gym
Members of all classes are invited to participate in a shotgun tournament that will take place at the Virginia Oaks Golf Course. We encourage you to form a foursome of your classmates to compete for bragging rights (and a nice prize). Lunch, bus transportation, GPS carts and driving range are included as part of the cost ($125/person). Reminisce about the Georgetown of yesterday and explore today's Georgetown during a luncheon with President John J. DeGioia and other members of the faculty and administration. President DeGioia and Tom Banchoff, director of the Berkley Center for Religion, Peace, and World Affairs, will speak about Islam and the West: Annual Report on the State of Dialogue. The report, which was presented at the 2008 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, offers a systematic overview of how Muslim and Western societies perceive and relate to each other at the political, social, economic and cultural levels. $

Students will also discuss how their experiences designing and teaching curriculum within the DC Public Schools has enabled them to work proactively on issues like social justice and educational equity while enriching their own learning experiences.     An examination of the fundamental human issue of ultimate meaning, Father Otto Hentz, S.J. (H'66) will discuss questions surrounding the problem of knowledge, the relation of faith and reason, and the impact of secularization on religion. This seminar will revisit some of the questions addressed during your undergraduate years and relate them to your life today.

    As primaries and caucuses sweep across the country, party conventions loom, and the intensity of the election season rises, it's clear that the pace will not slow down and there is great anticipation as a wide field of candidates narrows. Join Professor Stephen Wayne, American Government field chair, Professor James Lengle, director of the master's program in American Government, Washingtonpost.com columnist Chris Cillizza (C'98), and Missy Owens (C'98), deputy national political director and the deputy state director in Iowa for Senator Joe Biden, as they discuss the political landscape surrounding the 2008 Democratic and Republican nominating campaigns and the general election for president.
